About
Dr. Erica Landers, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Licensed in the state of California.
I received my doctorate in physical therapy in 2010 and quickly dove into the world of orthopedics and sports. I originally chose this area of specialty because it felt comfortable. I was a dancer in my younger years and experienced physical therapy myself. The specialty of orthopedics felt familiar and honestly, I felt that I could excel in it.
I was a few years into my career when my sister got pregnant. During her pregnancy she came to me with questions. She wanted to know how to exercise safely and what to do when her back and hip started hurting. After she had the baby, she wanted to know how to treat her abdominal separation. I wanted to be able to help my sister so I started learning more. I started taking additional courses and reading the research. I began to realize how much I was helping her, and through her, I realized how few resources were offered. Seeing this, encouraged me to help other pregnant women in my practice. Once I started working more with this population, it became even more apparent how few resources are offered to women who are pregnant, post partum, or dealing with pelvic health issues. That’s what motivated me to create something bigger. I want to be able to share information, educate, and empower more women.
